Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I wear for my session?
    As a photographer, it is my job to capture the true essence of all my clients. I want you to be happy with how all these memories are preserved in photographs and you should feel free to wear whatever makes YOU comfortable!
  • How should I pose?
    If you're not experienced posing or can be uncomfortable in front of the camera, let me know and I'll help out! As a photographer myself, it's my duty to make sure that your photos turn out perfect. So if there are any poses we need to do over again or anything else needs adjusting, I'm more than happy to fix them for you. During the session I may pause and show you some on-camera shots so that way they come out exactly how everyone wants them too. A tip: Practice posing in front of a mirror! That way you can get an idea of what you look like when you pose.
  • What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
    If your plans change and you need to reschedule, it's no problem. Things happen in life so it is expected that sometimes the way things work out will not be ideal. However please give me at least 24 hours notice of any changes, if I don't hear from you within this time frame all deposit fees are considered a cancellation fee. If you need to cancel, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Deposit fees are unable to be refunded if I'm not contacted within the 24 hours. However if you decide to reschedule your session then your deposit fee will be credited to the new session.
  • How do you edit my photos?
    I typically do basic photo editing such as cropping, lighting, exposure, color, and sharpening when retouching. I will never make any drastic changes to your images. I am a natural editor and believe that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, not on someone else's screen. I want you to love what you see when it comes back from me because my goal is for everyone who works with me to have an enjoyable experience. However, suppose you want more advanced editing done, such as more advanced skin retouching or extra teeth whitening for a perfect smile. In that case, those will be additional charges which we should discuss beforehand.
  • When will I receive my photos?
    It depends on the kind of session and how many photos were taken. Typical turnaround times for standard packages are within a week. If you need them quicker, there will be an option to purchase a rush fee.
  • What can I do when I receive my photos?
    You are free to do the following with your new beautiful photos! Print them Create photo books Make slideshows and videos Order photo jewelry Create unique custom photo gifts Share them on social media/online What NOT to do: Edit them Take credit as your own
  • Do you send me the original/RAW files?
    I do not deliver the original RAW files. Editing and my style are all part of the process! My final images are part of my reputation and services, so my work must live up to my standards and brand. I also believe the images will always stay true to the story from your session!
  • Can we have a session BOTH indoor and outdoor?
    Absolutely! However, this will be considered a custom quote and extra fees apply depending on the locations. Some outdoor places require permits, while indoor places have hourly rental rates. Always check the websites for each location as most will have a photography policy/rules.
  • Why are there additional fees for some locations?
    Some locations require permits for professional photography at their locations and some indoor/studio places require hourly rental fees. For example, San Diego Botanical Garden require a $300 fee to take professional photos there! This will need to be added to your final bill.
  • Do you have outfits for clients to wear?
    Unfortunately, I currently don't have a "client closet". I wish I did! Hopefully overtime as I grow I will be able to put one together but for now you will have to purchase or bring your own outfits.
